Batman: Arkham Knight Ace Chemical Infiltration, Pts. 1, 2, and 3

A couple of months ago, it was announced that Batman: Arkham Knight would be delayed until summer of 2015. It was a bummer, initially, but we understand that great things take time. While we wait, though, we got a new trailer from Rocksteady. And it looks like the wait is going to be,  just like we thought. Worth it. Starting with a mission in the Ace Chemicals plant, Batman is tasked with saving a group of plant workers from the Arkham Knight’s forces. He quickly comes to find out that it’s a trap. It’s clear from the opening scene that The Arkham Knight has teamed up with the Scarecrow, who asks that the Knight waits patiently and that his time of vengeance will come. I wonder what kind of theories and speculation the “you’ll have your vengeance” line will produce. The trailer gives us more of an in-depth look at the diverse combat options, such as the integration with Batmobile and more brutal environment takedowns. We also get a taste of that fear takedown that we’ve heard so much about. It’s pretty cool, but it’s the goddamn Batman we’re talking about here. Who wouldn’t be afraid? It also goes without saying that the game still looks gorgeous, but I guess that’s what the power of current gen and extra time in development will hopefully deliver. Batman: Arkham Knight is to release June 2, 2015 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC…but if you’re that impatient, there’s a little something extra waiting for you on December 1st.  Watch till the end of the trailer.  You’ll see what we’re talking about.

Update 1: The second part of the trailer popped up, and while it’s not what we thought it’d be, it’s just a teaser of what’s to come. Stay tuned tomorrow for the conclusion to the epic 3-part trailer, as it’s to be featured at the Playstation Experience tomorrow at 10 AM PT.

Update 2: Here’s the conclusion to the Ace Chemicals Trilogy from the Playstion Experience conference.
