Mad Max Fury Road: A Crescendo of Carnage

One of, if not THE, most iconic post-apocalyptic characters returns to the big screen. In Mad Max: Fury Road, Director George Miller returns to his despotic masterpiece with Tom Hardy as the titular character. This time around, Max is roped into helping Imperator Furiosa, played by Charlize Theron, to transport a group of women across the wastelands. But like always, Max must contend with murderous marauders lead by the Warlord Immortan Joe played by Hugh Keays-Byrne.  Not just contending with the marauders, the wasteland itself.

Mad Max has been one of the most influential post apocalyptic sagas, inspiring numerous films and games such as the Fallout franchise. To me, The Road Warrior is one of those cult classics that doesn’t get enough attention for its place in pop culture. So I’m happy to see it not only get a suedo-reboot but the return of its helmer George Miller.  According to rumor the, film is essentially an hour and a half chase sequence filled with high octane action. If you guys have read any of my previous blogs, namely my thoughts on the Fast and Furious franchise, you know I’m not a big car guy. But this film definitely has my attention and I hope it can live up to it’s predecessor. Mad Max: Fury Road hits theaters in limited release Spring 2015,
