Mortal Kombat X Gameplay Trailer

This gameplay trailer for Mortal Kombat X dropped today, and gave us a better look at what Netherealm has in store for fans of the franchise this April. From this trailer alone, we can see a healthy roster, full of classic characters like Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Raiden, Kitana, Quan Chi, and Kung Lao. For those wondering how Mortal Kombat X – seen as a sequel to 2011’s Mortal Kombat – is able to include these characters, the game is said to take place in an alternate universe, where the stories and timeline are different than that of the last game. As confusing as it may be, it’s understandable, as this would be quite the short roster had they followed the events of the last game. With all that said, the game looks to be as visually graphic as ever thanks a maxed out Unreal Engine 3. We can also see that they’ve lifted from their previous game, Injustice: Gods Among Us and added interactive environments. Personally, I hope they’ll give you the option to turn that stuff off and on as you’d like, as sometimes I was a fan of it, and others, I wasn’t. Mortal Kombat X is set to release April 14th for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
