Bloodborne Chalice Dungeons Trailer

A new trailer for next months’s Bloodborne gives us a glimpse at the procedural generated dungeons that the game is promising to deliver. The footage from this trailer is not much different from the footage that we saw from the Playstation Experience a couple of months back. They mentioned that the procedural generated aspect is taken from rogue-like games that have become popular in the last few years. Games like Spelunky and Binding of Isaac: Rebirth were the games that have gotten the most attention lately for doing this, as the enemies were never the same with every play-through, keeping the player on their toes. Another interesting thing that I took away from this trailer was the amount of times he referenced Demon’s Souls and not Dark Souls, confirming some rumors that this game ties closely to Demon’s Souls. It’s interesting, as people continue to look at Bloodborne as a Dark Souls successor. I’m glad to hear this because Demon’s Souls has appealed to me more than Dark Souls or Dark Souls 2, so this gives me more of a reason to go back to it, especially if Bloodborne is more lore heavy. Bloodborne is set to release March 24, 2015 exclusively for PS4.
