Pokémon Go Trailer

So, a couple of years back, Nintendo did the rare thing of sharing one of their properties with Google (and Google Maps) to create a Pokémon-inspired AR game. Granted, that was only during April Fools, but it was a huge hit. Looks like both Nintendo and Google saw the traction that thing got and decided to go full scale with it.

It looks like this isn’t the real-deal when it comes to having Pokémon in the real world, but it’ll have to do for now.

There’s also this accessory that can be worn on your wrist in order to simulate throwing a pokéball. It will pair with your phone and will rumble and flash as your pokéball interacts with them.

The game is being developed by Niantic, the company famous for pseudo-AR game Ingress, which, if you don’t know, is a fairly popular mobile game that the kids seem to be into nowadays.

Pokémon Go is set to release for iOS and Android next year. The price of the app or wrist accessory has yet to be announced.
