Star Wars the Force Awakens: You need only open yourself to it….

The force has returned. In the latest, and supposed final trailer, of Star Wars: Episode VII – the Force Awakens, fans were blasted with gorgeous cinematic action in this emotionally charged tease. While still no real story has been revealed, we do gather some of the motivations of our characters Finn, Rey and Kylo Ren. Finn is a former storm trooper turned residence fighter, Rey is a scavenger seeking to get off world, and Kylo seeks to finish where Vader failed.  We also got more shots of Poe Dameron, the X -Wing pilot being tortured by Kylo Ren, along with shots of massive battle sequences. Also revealed for the first time was old Princess or rather Queen Leia. Han Solo also had a much bigger role in the trailer revealing the galaxy seems ignorant of the battle between Luke and Vader.  Star Wars The Force Awakens hits theaters December 18, 2015.

Wow. Not really sure what else to say other than wow. Disney and J.J. have done an amazing job with the marketing of this film. We’ve been told little about the story but at the same time still given so much. The trailer evokes a nostalgic feel while at the same time making way for the new. The parallels in the trailer from old to new were nicely done, and the visuals look stunning. Not bad for 70mm. I could talk about all the speculations and theories I have about the story, but I think I’ll just keep it to myself to prevent further internet congestion. Still, regardless of whether or not this movie is good or bad, this is going to be an event.
